Hospital trip

I was invited by LKH Graz to participate in clinical studies. Free accomodation and 1€/km for travel expenses. Now I finished the first 2 visits. If they accept me, many more will follow. Time for a scooter trip!

Detour to Slovenia (just to have been there)



Hike onto the Schöckl hill (1445m) and view down to Graz (353m).

Coming home after some kilometres with an average fuel consumption of 2.1 litres/100km (Bord computer is known to be reliable).
My total expenses for fuel, peage and vignette was about 90€. Accomodation was free! And I expect additional salary of about 900€ for the first 2 visits. In total it can be 11 visits, if they accept my continuation.
Medical clinical studies are a expensive thing, over a hundred subjects it can easily add up to millions of Euros. But this is peanuts for the pharmaceutical companies!
Basically I am getting paid for scooter trips!
BTW: They are still looking for participants. Does someone else have Diabetes type 2?

You are participating in a medical study and this could be profitabel for yourself and many other Patients in the world.
What is the distance between L,hafen and Graz and how many Hour did the yourney took?

Hello Jan, they calculated 722km. A tiny bit shorter than google maps (725km), but I won't argue about 3€.
I didn't count the hours, I also visited 4 people on my way, so I got an additional free night both on my way to Graz and back. It was like a holiday. About 12 hours distributed over 2 days for each way.
If I can continue there, I might also sometimes take the train or FlixBus, depending on the weather.

How many times did you travel from now, and are the test still comfortable.
And still by scooter, ore forced the weather you to take the train or bus?
Did you do some more nice trips in the region there.

Next visit. After examinations, in the afternoon, I hiked again.








Cows donate drinks. But beer instead of not milk!


It was a tough ride. A lot of rain in Austria on the first day and then it was windy and cold. I arrived back home today 01:30

How many times did you travel from now, and are the test still comfortable.
And still by scooter, ore forced the weather you to take the train or bus?

I don't mind the tests. The "scariest" is the blood sample, the other needles are very thin.
As long as I can expect excursions in decent weather, I prefer to use an own vehicle. But the time might come, where I'll go by train and just visit the town afterwards.
